Vineyards

Shifflett Ranch & Vineyard entered into the Shifflett family in 1942 with the dream of a horse ranch. Over the years the property evolved with the different generations of family who lived and played there. This ranch, west of Yountville on Darms Lane was found to be ideally suited to grapes with its volcanic soils and rocky hillside vistas. Regarded as the southernmost true alluvial fan of the Maayacamas Range, these vineyards garner a deep ruby color as well as supple and elegant tannins. After almost 80 years of Shifflett family managing these vineyards, the richness of the Napa Valley soil runs through their veins as they produce world class grapes vintage after vintage. This vineyard created the varietals for our Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Balletto Vineyard is a sustainably farmed and family owned vineyard on the coolest southern third of the Russian River Valley. The foggy nights and cool mornings are perfect for ushering in the aromatics and acid profile that we look for in our white wines. This vineyard created the grapes for our American Beauty Gewurztraminer.

Heringer Family Vineyard enjoys the cooling breezes from the Sacramento Delta and has been in the same family since 1868. Certified Sustainable and herbicide free, HFV pairs consistently warm days with very cool nights that allow for perfect growing conditions. This vineyard created the twelve varietals that make up our Cambaro Series.

Rudy’s Block is a dry-farmed and head-trained vineyard in Dry Creek Valley farmed by the Mauritson Family. This block was planted in 1969 and the low yields help produce a wine that is vibrant and rich while still maintaining acid. The Mauritson Family roots run back many generations in Sonoma, and winemaker Jeremy Carter has worked with their fruit and family for over ten years. This vineyard created the varietals that make our Rebirth Zinfandel.
